A Bit About Me
My name is Lydia Rutherford. I attend West Virginia University as a graduate student working to obtain a master's degree in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling, where I expect to graduate in December of 2023. I currently have my Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health with a minor in Child Development Family Studies. I aim to become a mental health counselor for children and adolescents, as I have always had a passion for working with young minds. As the COVID-19 pandemic hit, the demand for mental health professionals rapidly grew. Those close to me have always come to me when they feel low or need someone to listen without judgement. Once I graduate, I plan to obtain my license, work to improve my skills and gain experience to become the best counselor that I can be.
